I am a certified F.S.L Teacher. This is not to be confused with an E.S.L teacher, English as a Second Language. I Teach Flowers as a Second Language.
We've just been through a florist's annual Superlove, Valentine's Day. We enjoyed designing many beautiful arrangements that mainly said "Love". But flowers speak many more sentiments than that. Flowers also say:
I miss you.
My prayers are with you.
Feel better soon.
You did a great job.
I'm so proud of you.
You've almost made it.
I could'nt have done it without you.
I'm sorry. Please forgive me.
My goal has never been just to sell flowers on the expected dates. Let flowers speak for you throughout the year, and let them speak to others besides your family and friends. Let flowers speak to the unsung heroes, the people who need encouragement, the people who are lonely or the people who feel like they've blown it, again. The list is unlimited.
Yes, flowers are romantic. But they can also be a breath of fresh air to a hurting soul. Learn to speak the Language. Establish and develop relationships with people through flowers. Both of you will be blessed.
Who do you know who needs flowers?
