Does a field of wildflowers take your breath away? Does the fragrance of gardenias conjure memories of your grandma? Does a single poppy in a vintage bud vase impress you more than a dozen red roses? Then… this Blog’s for you!
Howdy! My name is Tricia Barksdale from College Station, Texas, where I‘m blessed to have a quaint flower shop. Our amazing team of worker bees delights daily in not only the inherent beauty of flowers, but also in the multitude of opportunities to touch people’s lives. With flowers as our medium, we get to be a part of the entire spectrum of events in life – from the birth of a baby to the memorial of a loved one.
Our purpose for this blog, simply put, is to inspire and educate. We want to
inspire you to stop and smell the roses. By including flowers in our techno lifestyles, we gain balance. Flowers are 3-dimensional art and a life without art is out of balance. We need balance! We need flowers!
Passion in variety
We also want to educate you on the vast array of bewildering, bewitching blossoms that are available – from Agapanthus to Zinnia. So please stay with us as we begin the blogging journey. Our passion for the flowers and our 30-plus years of rubbing shoulders with the likes of Peonies, Ranunculus, and Garden Roses will give us an endless source of topics. We stay bewildered (i.e. why do the tulip stems stretch out an inch overnight in a vase?) and bewitched ( i.e. I can’t stop looking at the concentric petal layers in a Calendula and marvel at the Creator who thought of everything!)
